Adrián Moscardó and Reyes Moreno win the 11th Montserrat 10K

Adrián Moscardó Muñoz and Reyes Moreno Barbera won the men’s and women’s classifications at the 11th Montserrat 10K, held on Friday 31 July. The race started at 8 pm from Avinguda Jaume I, next to Plaça de la Constitució, and Cronorunner’s classification recorded 668 finishers.

The men’s race was decided by one second. Moscardó, representing Clínica Alejandro Sanz, covered the 10 kilometres in 33:02, just ahead of team-mate Alejandro Esteve Castera, who finished second in 33:03. Gabriel Palomera Svensson of Green Power Sports Team completed the podium in 33:17.

In the women’s classification, Reyes Moreno of C.A. Gandia Alpesa won in 38:02. María Valero Garrido of CD Metaesport finished second in 38:21, while Teamergy’s Marta Gómez Monzón took third place in 38:35.

Local clubs record 23 finishers

Santamaría Sanz had twelve classified representatives. Juan Lozano Benavent was the first runner from the local club, finishing tenth overall in 36:19. Paco Martínez Grau, in 39:15, and Nelo Solana Aguado, in 39:53, were the next members of the team to reach the finish.

Montserrat Corre added another eleven representatives. Manuel Herrero Oliva was the club’s first finisher, placing 73rd overall in 42:30. Ana Alemany Alemany completed the race in 49:14, finishing as the 23rd woman overall and third in the women’s Veterana B category.

The 11th Montserrat 10K formed part of the 2026 Festes Majors programme and the Circuit Horta Sud. Ajuntament de Montserrat was listed as the organiser of a race that once again brought popular road running into the centre of the town.
