Óscar retains individual galotxa title with a 70-30 victory

Óscar of CPV Montserrat has won the Primera Carrer division of the 15th Itegra Valencian Individual Galotxa Championship. The Montserrat player retained his title on Sunday 26 July by beating Xato of CPV Quart de les Valls 70-30 in the final at the carrer de pilota (pilota street court) in Foios.

Óscar took the initiative from the opening games and remained in control until completing the victory. The result gives him consecutive titles in the leading street category following his championship win in 2025.

He entered the decisive stage as the standings leader with nine points and secured his place in the final by winning his semi-final. Xato advanced through the other tie, bringing together the top two players from the regular stage in the Foios final.

Two team titles in Montserrat

The individual victory extends the club’s run of results during July. Lanzadera Montserrat A regained the Primera Carrer regional title on the 11th by defeating Mobles Guillén Faura A 70-55 in front of its home supporters. Lanzadera Montserrat B also beat Massalfassar F 70-55 in the Segona Carrer final.

Both team finals were played at Montserrat’s carrer de pilota, which hosted the street categories of the 51st El Corte Inglés Valencian Galotxa Championship. Weeks earlier, Mondefruta Montserrat had also claimed the Benjamí A youth title with a 50-25 victory over Foios.

The titles won by Óscar and the A, B and Benjamí teams give CPV Montserrat honours across individual competition, senior team categories and its youth programme during the 2026 season.
