«Nits al Ras» closes its first edition with the full-moon walk on 29 July
The Youth Department of the Montserrat Town Council closes the first edition of «Nits al Ras» this Wednesday 29 July — a series of night-time activities that throughout July invited residents to enjoy summer evenings from a different perspective, combining heritage, nature, wellbeing and community life.
The series, free and open to all, comprised four night-time activities aimed at fostering knowledge of the local environment, community participation and the healthy use of the municipality's public and natural spaces. The programme opened on 1 July with «Entre places i carrers» (Between squares and streets), a night-time walk through Montserrat's most emblematic corners featuring a participatory photography activity.
The second event, «Camins de calma» (Paths of calm), took participants on 8 July along a night-time route through the municipality's natural surroundings, ending with an outdoor relaxation activity. On 22 July it was the turn of «Històries a la fresca» (Stories in the open air), a tour of different significant spots in the village to recover stories, anecdotes and experiences linked to the collective memory of the municipality.
The closing session, «A la llum de la lluna plena» (By the light of the full moon), will take place this Wednesday 29 July from 9 to 11.30 pm, coinciding with the full moon. It will be a special walk focused on observing the night-time environment and enjoying Montserrat's natural spaces under moonlight. Participants are advised to bring dinner, water and comfortable clothing and footwear.
With this first edition, the Youth Department has launched a series combining the discovery of local heritage, connection with nature and community life on Montserrat's summer nights.
