Montserrat A win in Beniparrell as Montserrat B climb to second

Both Mondefruta Montserrat teams won their matches in the eighth round of the 40th Campionat Interpobles Gran Premi Edicom de galotxa, both by the same 70-30 score, according to the Federació de Pilota Valenciana’s official competition record, which already includes the results of the round played on 30 and 31 October.

In group B, Montserrat A beat Ajuntament de Beniparrell A 70-30 on the Beniparrell court on Friday 30 October at 4.30pm. The team remain unbeaten, with five wins from five matches and 15 points, ten more than Beniparrell, second on five, while Ovocity Marquesat A are third on four points and Borbotó A fourth on three.

In group A, Montserrat B also won 70-30 against Ovocity Marquesat B in Alfarb on Saturday 31 October at 3.30pm and climb to second on 13 points, level with CPV Albuixech, who have played a game more. Faura are third on 11 and Massalfassar fourth on 9. Montserrat B still have their postponed match against Faura outstanding, which leaves them a game behind the top two.

The ninth round is played on Saturday 7 November. Montserrat B host CPV Albuixech in Montserrat at 4pm in a direct duel for the lead of group A, while Montserrat A have a bye. The same group also features Ovocity Marquesat B against Electrofassar Massalfassar in Alfarb at 7pm.

Street galotxa thus returns to the town on Saturday 7, with the lead of group A at stake between Montserrat B and Albuixech, the two teams at the top of the table.
