Bàsquet Montserrat open the season with five teams registered in the FBCV

By Staff · 7 October 2026 · 2 min read

The Club Bàsquet Montserrat go into the 2026/2027 season with five teams entered in the competitions of the Federació de Bàsquet de la Comunitat Valenciana (FBCV). The club, based in Montserrat, field two senior sides —the A team in the Preferente division and the B team in the Segunda Zonal— and three youth teams at cadet (under-16), infantil (under-14) and alevín (under-12) level, who play in the FBCV's IR (Iniciación al Rendimiento, introduction to performance) development pathway.

Having two senior teams is a step forward for a club that in previous seasons competed with a single side in the category. All the teams play their home games at the municipal sports hall of Montserrat, in carrer Arts Gràfiques, with the senior A team on Saturdays at 7 pm and the senior B at 5 pm.

The club's five teams

  • Bàsquet Montserrat A: senior men, Preferente division (group C).
  • Bàsquet Montserrat B: senior men, Segunda Zonal division (group C).
  • Bàsquet Montserrat: cadet boys, IR level 2ª Zonal (group N).
  • Bàsquet Montserrat A: infantil boys, IR level 2ª Zonal (group K).
  • Bàsquet Montserrat: alevín boys, IR level 2ª Zonal (group L).

The FBCV have already published the 2026/2027 fixtures. In the senior categories, the first round is played over the weekend of 10 and 11 October, with Bàsquet Montserrat A and B leading the local basketball scene.

The club thus maintain a federated record that goes back at least to the 2016/2017 season and continue their youth programme, with academy teams competing in the Jocs Esportius de la Comunitat Valenciana. The club, who wear dark blue and red, can be contacted at clubbasquetmontserrat@gmail.com.
