By Staff · 19 October 2026 · 2 min read

Bàsquet Montserrat’s cadet side won 42-2 away at Grupo Martorell Picassent in the opening round of group N at Segunda Zonal level, played on Saturday 17 October at 12.30 pm, while the infantil A side lost 59-18 at the municipal sports hall in Alaquàs at 9 am in their first game in group K.

The cadets end the round top of the table on two points, level with CBM Benifaió Alvinox, whom they lead on points difference: 42 scored and 2 conceded against Benifaió’s 52-25. The infantil side take one point and sit bottom of the six-team group K.

Neither senior side played this weekend. The A team, fifth in group C of the Preferente division on two points after beating L’Alcúdia in their opener (69-65), have their second-round game scheduled for Friday 30 October at 9 pm on the court of San Pedro Moixent-La Font de la Figuera. The B team have no recorded result yet from the fixture scheduled for Sunday 18 at the municipal sports hall in El Vedat against Gent Vikinga Basket.

The club are back in action next weekend at the municipal sports hall in carrer Arts Gràfiques: on Saturday 24 October the infantil A side host Infantil Masculino ICM at 9 am, the alevín side make their debut against B.C. L’Alcúdia at the same time and the senior A team face C.B. Dimar at 7 pm. On Sunday 25 the cadets take on CB Algemesí C at 10 am and the senior B side host Tabernes Blanques D at 5 pm.

The Montserrat club are competing this season with five teams in the FBCV leagues — two senior sides and three youth teams — and play their home games at the municipal sports hall in carrer Arts Gràfiques.
