A magnitude 2.5 earthquake shakes Montserrat overnight
A magnitude 2.5 earthquake shook the Valencian town of Montserrat, in the Ribera Alta region, overnight. The epicentre was located near the village, according to data from the National Geographic Institute (IGN).
The tremor was felt in several parts of Montserrat and also in some housing estates in the municipality of Chiva, such as Calicanto. Despite the perceived intensity, no significant personal or material damage was reported, and the event is part of the usual seismic activity in the area.
