The 45th Montserrat International Chamber Music Week has unveiled its programme. The festival will run from 20 to 25 July with six concerts, one per night, all starting at 10.30 pm in the Plaça de l'Església. This year's line-up brings together ensembles from Spain, Italy and Germany, ranging from Mozart's classicism to contemporary saxophone.
The week opens on Monday 20 July with the Quinteto Cuesta (Spain). On Tuesday 21 the Camerata Strumentale Siciliana (Italy) will perform 'Mozart and the Elegance of the Wind: the Flute Quartets'. On Wednesday 22, MaBacDuo (Spain) presents 'Spanish Dreams'.
The second half of the week begins on Thursday 23 with a night of song featuring soprano Aurora Peña (Spain). On Friday 24 the Arcis Saxophon Quartett (Germany) brings its 'Unusual Chronicles', and on Saturday 25 Kirill Troussov and Friends close the festival with 'Great Romantic Sextets' (Spain).
Now in its 45th edition, the International Chamber Music Week once again confirms Montserrat as a leading summer destination for chamber music in the Ribera region.
