The Festival of Bands will fill the streets of Montserrat with music on 18 July

Montserrat will celebrate the Festival of Bands on Saturday 18 July, one of the most eagerly awaited musical events of the summer, which this year brings two highly traditional ensembles to the town: the Societat Instrumental Unió Musical de Montserrat (SIUM) and the Agrupació Musical l'Amistat de Quart de Poblet.

The programme will start at 7.30 pm with the parade of the bands through the streets of the town, a route that will fill the urban centre with music before the main performance. Afterwards, from 8.00 pm, the Plaça de l'Església will host the concert, in which both ensembles will offer a varied repertoire outdoors.

The Festival of Bands is one of the cultural hallmarks of Montserrat and an opportunity to enjoy music close to home in a festive format open to all audiences. The organisers invite residents and visitors alike to take part in a day that will provide a musical highlight to the weekend.
